So yesterday we went the first time on the HTMS CHANG and it was ... as i said look at the pic's wonderful, super, fantastic, brilliant ... are not strong enough words for a memorial Wreck Dive around Koh Chang

It is the bigges Wreck in hole Thailand, and this i can asure 1 dive in definitely not enough to explore all !!

Finally the Wreck went down!!!
Today we were honored to be there to watch how a ship get sunken around Koh Chang!!
It was really spectacular, but please look with your own eyes how a new divespot and a new wreck dive place born

How to....

Every diver want to protect the reefs and the underwater enviroment ..
so how we can do that.
Yes, we can join Underwater clean ups - sadly some divers think that fishing net which are halfway grown info corals are better removed instead of left, mostly parts of the corals break and the damage is bigger than the help
We can take care in small - like we do, use reusable cups , not throwing garbage into the sea
No touching corals
not taking anything (beside of garbage) out of the sea
stop eating seafood ... yeah that's not easy for some

BUT

one of the most important ...
no first i want that you remember your first dives ... remember? you maybe accidentally fin kicked on a coral, crashed with your tank into a reef, or just kneed on the home of a goaby fish??

what i talk about is BUOYANCY, perfect buoyancy control will be learned with time, it do take a while
OR
simple do the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Course, which provides you 2 Dives only to focus on Buoyancy with BCD, Lung, and proper weighting

Look how flat is the sea at the moment, as we like it the most just like a mirrow. at this time of the year it is shrimp season, so there are a lot of fishing boats taking out the smallest of them to let the evolution die slowley, sadly as it is the fishermans do not think and the thai goverment do not react on anything eighter. But i go of of the line i wanted to write. So due to that there are many jelly fish close to the beach, do not worry they are harm less, BUT if you still do not like them - no problem a bit more out side it is free of jelly fish!!!!@ so join us on the boat

Turtle is still on Blueberry

Since a while we did not dive on Blueberry Hill,
such a nice dive spot close to Koh Chang. It was beautiful to see that the turtle still live there.
The sun was shinning and the water is flat, that made it to a perfect dive day.

Tomorrow we will see again.

Our Diving Boat on the Dock

Many people saw Dock's already ... the one here is a bit special - no safety at all but anyway our beautiful boat is out and yesterday we been diving/snorkeling for the first time this season. So it mean for us the season started and we are ready to welcome you all for our next trip

Boat

Our Boat is on the main land on the Dock for small repair's and upgrades. Fresh paint and some small extra's. Unluckily it was raining a few day's so the work had to wait... Anyway today it is back in the water and tomorrow it will be on the way back home to Koh Chang, i can not wait to welcome it - can you???

Boat

Now it is quiet on the island so we put our beauty boat up to the Dry Dock to get even better than it is. Just a few upgrades and repairs. New paint and it can come again. Hopefully it is not raining to much since the Dock is without roof ...
Looking forward to welcome CHOCK CHERLOM CHAI 4 back to Koh Chang.

Rain??

Who said that september is not a good month to travel to Thailand, Koh Chang???? Yes it is rainy season ON THE CALENDAR ... but sunshine all over. Blue sky warm beach weather, with a few clouds sometimes which are just welcome. Surly it can rain, but how it is the last week (s) that just happend seldom during the day . So come and enjoy the Low Season

Diving around Koh Rang

Yesterday was such a nice day on the boat, we went to Koh Rang the national Park. The waves been little and the sun joined us the hole day!!
Blue sky and good visibility and very nice people on the boat (all from the Netherlands) Some did Intruduction Dive and some refreshment also a hand full of snorkelers enjoyed the day.
We visited Koh Rang Bay and the Beach and for the second dive we went to Koh Lon. Very nice schools of yellow stripe snappers circled around us during the dive. In the Bay of Koh Rang we saw a white eye Morey eal and some of the giant clamps.
A day to remember

WRECK

Finally we will get a WRECK.
It is a gift to Koh Chang. A huge war ship - 100 m long and arround 20 m high. It arrived last week to Salak Phet. So now it is time to clean it up and strip it down that it is safe to dive through it.
Scandinavian Chang Diving Center is one of the less Divecenters who help. So we been there to paint on the places where holes have to be made. But since we are in Thailand it is not 100 % sure that it happend on exactly those spots. So no blame on us - we tried!!!
Anyway the location should be fixed tomorrow - guess what - of course they ask Chang Diving Center's Boat to put the location, because our Boat is the only boat on Koh Chang which have the tools like depth measure and GPS. Unluckily it is quiet wavy so it can be that the date have to get changed AGAIN.
But for sure it will be sunken before the high season
We are all sooooooo exited about that it is a big thing for Koh Chang!!

Koh Rang it is

I just saw that i did not post something in the last month .... terrible, and that should be the site with the actual information's, shame on me.
So to your update in the latest, the sea is wavy, now it start to be more calm than last month, but anyway almost all the time it was possible to to go out diving. The close by divespots could not be dived through the waves but the islands around koh rang national park were pretty to visit. Also the area around koh rang is nice for snorkelers that just by the way.
Most interesting spots are koh Yak Lek or Koh Lon and 3-Finger-Reef. Therefrom a few pictures.

So it was the time of the year - The NEW YEAR celebration in thai tradition=

So not only to dive into no to throw around and PLAY PLAY PLAY
and it is not that it start in the evening like our new year partys no it start in the morning and it goes the hole day over 3 days.
Luckily on Koh Chang the people are so clever over here that everybody stop to play with the water when it get dark

Everywhere on the divespots you can find some new growing corals, thats pretty amazing and a very good sin for the future of the reefs around koh chang.
Titanium Trigger .... a very beautiful fish, but not the friendliest. He will not harm you, but he is protecting his home!! So it is better to stay a bit away and let him do his thing.
